That's the best shot I was able to get.

Hi, I'm new here and wanted to post a fanfic I am writing. Can I ask how to make a thread for it and other things I need to keep in mind?
Thanks.

Go to one of the Creative Writing subforums, SFW or NSFW, whichever your fic will be.

Click the button that says "Post New Thread".

Fill in the thread title, tags, etc and the first post. It's not hard to figure out.

Nothing better after a hard day of work than watching Gawr Gura play GTA 5.

It's weird to see how all my female friends that were incredibly pretty in school turned out obese and weird looking, while all the formerly fat and weird looking ones (male and female) now basically look like models.

Case in question : a pale, curly brown haired girl with cutesy dimples and gray eyes is now twice as heavy as I am and with pink hair.

Ok I'm going through the process of publishing a few books right now. Do we have a thread here to share it with fellow writers/readers.

Its been a long process over the last year, getting help for the final products. Editing, covers, etc cost a lot...

For those interested they are erotica NSFW stories. Would have asked this on NSFW Section but didn't see a general thread...

Series- fertility plague 3 short stories of 10,000 words. First one should be up in a week.

First book rise of the Lycans (werewolfs) 15,000 word.

I've been posting plenty of fanfiction here. And know there were others planning or even publishing already.

OJ Simpson won in the end. He didn't do it, his son did.
Huh?! Did he confess to the murder or something?
Nah, it's more my theory that I've had for years now.
Even if this theory somehow was true, I don't think the fact that OJ spent the rest of his life with everyone either fearing or hating him, with nobody respecting him even slightly, and he later got desperate enough that he tried performing a theft that landed him in jail for nine years, really counts as "winning".

Yeah, if he did it then he didn't really get away with much, given how nobody seemed to believe that he was innocent.

If he didn't do it, then he was absolutely fucked by the media coverage of his trial.

I don't remember enough to have an opinion on his guilt.

It was a mess, but I payed attention and, with the advantages of hindsight, more evidence than what the jury got to see, and the advantages of a walkthrough during a law class in college...

I'm pretty sure he did it.

I'm not beyond a reasonable doubt.

Were I on the jury, I would not have been able to convict in good conscience. But I would have really wanted to.

I have five chapters left for book one in one of my fic series. I may finally be able to finish something even if it is technically part of a series.

If anyone is waiting until the last minute to file their taxes, if you're looking for a free filing service do it through the IRS website. I dunno how it works, but if you click on one of the tax filing services through their website it becomes free. Last year I went with Free File USA, but when I went directly to their website I was told there was a fee that wasn't there last year. But when I went to the IRS website and clicked on the link to Free File USA, the $15 fee wasn't there anymore.

I was pretty impressed with the free IRS pilot application for NY.

It was not able to finish the process for me -- it was limited to only a few categories and I didn't fit perfectly -- but in terms of functionality, it was able to maintain a robust session across multiple devices, during a period when it must have been at fairly heavy load.

One of their partners was able to handle my filing for $0 which was nice.

Overall it's great to see the H&R Block / Intuit lobby fail to maintain their rent source.

Is fic adoption here possible?
I think it's possible but I'm not sure whether it's probable.

Most creative types have their own ideas they want to write out, so willingly taking someone else's project from them without additional incentive is a difficult sell.
Usually, it requires a significant amount of investment or attachment to the fic if it's already in progress, and it it's just a random idea just tossed out there, they may take inspiration from that idea but their vision for how it goes could differ a great amount from what you envisioned.

If you have money to burn, I guess you could just commission an author and be specific to what you want, but it's still risky.

Edit:

I mean it's still worth a shot as you have nothing to lose asking, just brace yourself for not much success.

So, got some Audible Credits saved up, because I go through my library slowly enough for them to build up, and now need some recommendations to take my mind off of things.

Preferably Medieval-ish Fantasy, but I'm open for suggestions beyond that scope. Just not Military Sci-Fi, since I'm burned out on that genre.

Try The Sojourn, it's a space opera audiodrama not an audiobook, but I really like it.

Seeing how many newer works are flawed (or so I have been told), should I double down on my own perfectionism so my fics can be better then the shows that they are based on?

Hello. So I accidently added someone that is not part of our conversation. How do you kick them?

I've become addicted to depressing reddit stories. And I don't mean the openly fictional ones.

God alone knows why.

I have to know what the remedy is
The more I thought about it, the more sense it actually made.

It's a simple combination of milk, honey and garlic.

In this instance I poured a liter of milk (the over 3% fat one in this case) into a pot, added like 3 table spoons of honey, and about 4 or 5 minced cloves of garlic. Then you just simply keep cooking to warm the concotion up on low heat, but not getting it high enough it actually boils. The exact proportions aren't all that important I think.

Milk has basically all the nutrients already. Honey is high in sugars your body needs, especially if you are sick and can't really eat other things if your appetite is down due to sickness, and it's quite healthier than regular sugar as well. Garlic is, well, it's already super-healthy already, rich with health boosting vitamins (like C) and whatnot.

As for the taste, I don't know how it works, but the overall result is just mild and comfy. You get the garlicky aftertaste to be sure, but at the moment of drinking it is really understated, so I think even someone who usually doesn't like the taste of garlic could enjoy it. All of it is also warm and sweet, so it goes down really well.

I fail to see the downside to this thing.

Update on Grandma's Ancient Remedy

When I posted ~an hour ago, my throat was closing up, had difficulty swallowing, some acid reflux, cough was starting to be annoying and generally I was being overall miserable.

I took no other medicine, and now, I feel kinda okay. Sure, the fewer is still there, still kinda tired, but I can eat and swallow almost normally by now. Like, I'm actually functional right now, if a little scatterbrained, instead of feeling like I'm going to vomit any second now and unable to focus on one thing.

So yeah. Flavor your milk with honey and garlic. There's literally no downsides to this.
